RAINNE is a freelance copywriter.
She graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communications.
After graduation, she worked as a Research Assistant for a television network where she had forged lifelong friendships with her twentysomething co-workers who were also her schoolmates in college.
After three years of singing Alanis Morissette's song "Hand In My Pocket", she moved on to the cutthroat but funtabulous advertising industry to work as a Media Strategist / Media Planner for global ad agencies.
She started writing FOBOLOUS in 2011 while she was doing laundry at home and was distracted by some "shiny, shimmering, splendid" Facebook posts.
She said FOBOLOUS was just a blog on Facebook but then it developed into a 90,000 word-novel four years later.
Well, maybe 87 something thousand.
She likes rounding things off.
When she's not writing stories in her head, on her computer, tablet, laptop, phone, sticky notes or chocolate wrappers, she's busy being a freelance writer. She writes web content and video scripts mostly for startups and tech companies.
Rainne lives in Houston, Texas with her family and their super dogs - Mochi and Appa.
She's probably drinking a cup of delicious sugarless cappuccino bubble tea, watching anime, listening to the Smashing Pumpkins, One OK Rock, and Eraserheads while you're reading this.
